welcome to re-mom

Updated: Feb 2, 2023

hi, we're new in town.

Hello, and thanks for being here! It's February 1st, 2023: the day re-mom was born. We're so glad you came to celebrate.

Happy Birthday re-mom!

Today is a big day, as it's our official launch day! Curious as to what re-mom is all about? Continue reading below to get to know us.

what is re-mom?

Let me answer this question in two ways:

In the business profession sense, re-mom is a coaching service dedicated to reinventing the working motherhood experience. In one-to-one coaching sessions, re-mom works with new working mothers on motherhood mindset, career planning, and change planning & execution in a "life-by-design" format. re-mom believes that the paradigm shift of entering the working motherhood era is the least talked about experience for modern mothers, and we are here to assist with that shift. Taking a matricentric approach, we focus on each individual mother and her exact needs to design a life that works for her; we are determined to empower working mothers in their lives and their careers in a way that solicits harmony within her.

The second way I'll answer this question, is in the social impact sense. re-mom is the birth of a new way of talking about, and looking at, working motherhood. For decades, women have returned to work and maintained careers while largely remaining the default parent, without support. Societal norms expect mothers to return to work after a set amount of time for maternity leave, ready to contribute, behave, think, and perform equal to their former, pre-baby selves. Mothers return to work at a disadvantage due to the very real mental and emotional shifts that happen when one has a baby. Priorities change, purpose may be questioned, balance and routine are thrown off; not to mention the physical distance and time away from the office during maternity leave where business progressed in their absence. These real experiences are often ignored, leaving a very large cognitive and purpose gap for working mothers as they return to work struggling to fit back into the molds of their former selves. re-mom offers an opportunity to close these gaps, and share a formula for work-life harmony that actually works.
