re-mom's programs are targeted to serve a specific market: working mothers. The guidelines we follow to define this market are:

identify as a mother. Current sociological definitions of "mother" define it as the "female parent of a child"; however, re-mom is an inclusive space that welcomes anyone who identifies as a mother in a societal expectation sense or self-assigned role. We recognize that motherhood is not defined by gender identity.
women who are soon-to-be mothers who currently engage in paid work outside of the home
re-mom also offers support to couples and partners looking to improve harmony within the home.
re-mom's offerings are designed with our target client in mind (working mothers). This is done to maximize the results for our clientele. That being said, if you don't quite fit our criteria, and you really want to work with us, book a 30 minute consultation and we'll sort it out together.

The International Coaching Community defines coaching as "...Coaching is not telling people what to do; it is helping them clarify and control their life. It is helping them evaluate what they are doing now in their life in the light of their goals, dreams, values and intentions. It gives them new choices and leads to change. Coaching helps a person go beyond the mental blocks of what they thought was possible. Coaching works as a partnership between coach and client, it helps to clarify goals, to make them challenging and motivating, then to achieve those goals with the energy that comes from their deepest values."
In contrast, therapy focuses on an individual's past to understand their present. Coaching focuses on present state, and is action-oriented to the future. At re-mom, a heavy emphasis is made on change planning and change sustainability within each of our programs.
